Dena Lynn Lodato, DVM, MS, DACVS, CCRP, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry

Dr. Dena Lynn Lodato is recognized for her expertise as a small animal surgeon for Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation

COVINGTON, LA, July 27, 2023, Dena Lynn Lodato, DVM, MS, DACVS, CCRP, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in veterinary medicine, Dr. Lodato has earned distinction as a small animal surgeon and medical director for Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation. Since opening her practice in 2021, she has focused her efforts on orthopedics and wound management, as well as soft tissue surgery. When not in the operating room, Dr. Lodato sees new consultations for animals referred for a wide array of surgical diseases. Additionally, she is a valued member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Lodato began her career working with the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2013.  Following that, shewas the head of the surgical department at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center, an affiliate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, from 2015 to 2016. In 2015, she earned diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. In 2016, she moved to Louisiana and was an associate surgeon in a surgical referral practice before opening Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation.  Also dedicated to civil advocacy, she lends her expertise through work with local rescue groups, humane societies and animal shelters.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Lodato earned a Bachelor of Science in animal science from Rutgers University in 2003 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2008. She then completed an internship at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and a residency at Mississippi State University in 2013. She subsequently gained a Master of Science from Mississippi State University the same year.

Within the coming years, Dr. Lodato intends to expand her veterinary business, hiring more specialists to enable her to offer more services to her clients. She treats her patients as if they were her own beloved pets, giving each the care it needs to thrive and be healthy.
